During The All-Girls Camp we will cover all basketball skills, game strategy, and fitness. The camp will focus on creating a supportive and empowering environment for female athletes, allowing them to develop their skills and confidence while fostering teamwork and personal growth. Athletes are encouraged to push their limits and step out of their comfort zones, develop a growth mindset, and thrive in this inclusive and empowering environment where our female athletes can thrive both on and off the court. The player-coach relationship is very important for the development of our athletes, it is important that athletes are put in the best setting possible for their personal growth on and off the floor. Participating in this camp will help allow our athletes to have fun, compete, build new relationships amongst peers and learn everything basketball has to offer as a whole.
Training Focus:
? Ball Handling Fundamentals: Players will focus on mastering basic and advanced ball handling skills through stationery and transitional drills. Proper hand placement, ball control, footwork, and body placement are a few of the many skills players will learn.
? Shooting Fundamentals: Players will learn the correct shooting form, stance, hand/foot placement, and release to become a high percentage shooter. This instruction will be repetitive throughout the week. As a player, it is important to focus on the details within the learning portion of shooting fundamentals.
? Player Development: Each athlete will learn how to create good practice habits, what a good shooting form looks like, and how to increase outside shooting range through proper mechanics. Being coachable is a key characteristic for athletes in order to attain and process the information being passed on by the coaches. Proper eye contact and body language will help athletes become more engaged within the teaching moments of camp.
? Conditioning and Fitness: Physical fitness is key for success in basketball and other sports. Our camp includes conditioning drills and exercises to help players build strength, agility, and speed.
